For this photo I adjusted the levels to create more contrast and it really picks up the deep tones on the bark. I then applied a a photo filter, orange tinted, to create a subtle sepia effect. I also cropped it slightly to make the twigs more focused upon.

Mock experimentation
Here is my original photo of a nature shoot I have taken in a forest. I then took this into Photoshop and experimented with the saturation and the levels. This instantly gave the trees life and instantly changes the season, because the colours are so vidid and fresh.I like the use of lines in this photo as the trees are in rows, this makes the trees seem like they are never ending.
I then edited this further by using selective colouring on the red to tone this previous saturation down and make it look more realistic and natural.
I then edited this photo by rotating the picture and cropping to make it straight. I really liked this outcome as the original involved earthy tones such as browns and greens and appeared perhaps gloomy, however due to making changes into Photoshop with the use of selective colouring, the picture is instantly full of colour really bring out the browns into vivid reds and the green leaves really accentuated to really gives the picture an uplifting mood and changes the season.
